Even in our unbelief

“Even in our unbelief, He is faithful.”

“Jesus wept.” - John 11:35

If you want to know how God feels about the death of your loved ones, be comforted by how Jesus grieved with Mary and the mourners. Those watching Him thought that He cried because He loved Lazarus. The real reason He cried though was because He loved the living who mourned.

Even after telling Martha, “I am the resurrection and the life” (v.25), we can see unbelief of her, Mary and the other people around. This is how Jesus feels about your unbelief. If you keep questioning His abilities and power even after everything that He has done for you, the Lord grieves. He grieves because He loves you and He wishes that you trust Him completely.

We have questioned Christ on many occasions in life when things do not seem to go our way. Jesus Christ though, is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is the same God, the same Creator and the same friend! Don’t you think He knows what is best for you?

Instead of grieving your God with a tirade of questions of unbelief, have faith in Him. He has worked great miracles in your life so far. What makes you think He will not do it again?

Even in our unbelief, He is faithful
