“And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”
How do we prove to the World that we know Christ of whom we speak of?
How do we prove to ourselves that we know Christ?
The simple, yet the most challenging answer is that we need to keep the commandments of the Lord. We cannot say that we know our Christ when we do not keep His commandments.
If we love someone, we tend to follow that person all the way, listen to them and ensure to follow what they say. If we do that for a worldly person, how much more does our Father in heaven desire for us to know Him more by obeying his commandments!
Knowing Jesus Christ does not only mean reading the Word of God, but also applying them in our lives and following what He says.
Let us show God how much we love Him by following what He says and by obeying what He commands. Let us not be liars by saying that we know Him when we do not keep His Word.
