“For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.” - Deuteronomy 23:14
When we invite the presence of God, it is necessary that we are wary of any uncleanness that is found within or around us.
God is not partial to anyone. Redeeming us through the blood of Christ does not change the righteousness of God, nor is His holiness diversified to suit each of our preferences. We are to keep up holiness always. There is no excuse, shortcut or loophole in this. After all, it is a command from the Lord Himself to “Be Holy, for I am Holy”.
So let us search within ourselves and see if we have anything that may cause our Lord to ‘turn away from us’. Let us put away all filthiness (James 1:21), lest He abstains from delivering us, and we do not want that happening to us.
