We constantly pray for each other. Sometimes we know the needs of a person and pray that his/her desires be fulfilled as per the will of God, and sometimes we do not know what a person may be going through, but still, we remember them.
How often do we thank God for other people? How often do we remember them in our prayers? Do our prayers tend to not leave the boundaries of our self needs and preferences?
Paul in vs. 4 mentions that he remembers the church at Philippi in prayer, ‘making request for them in joy”.
When we pray for our fellow brethren, let us take their issues as our own and consider it a joy to pray for them. We have to thank God for their lives every time we remember them in our prayers. God has placed different people among us so that God’s perfect plan is fulfilled through them. Each of these people has unique values and worth in their life, set by God Himself. We have to be constantly thankful for their impact on our lives.
Let not our prayers always be self-centered. Rather let them be for our brethren as well, let us remember and make requests for them in joy.
