The Lord changes us

We are changed into the image of the glory of the Lord.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the greatest example in all things pertaining to godliness’. His love was expressed to all people and it overflowed towards them. He was just as concerned about individuals, as He was with the crowds. Jesus mingled with all people from every class and social status.

Jesus did not hold any prejudices. He ate with sinners, immoral people and tax collectors, yet He did not lower His standards of godliness. He met people where they were. When He met the woman at the well, He said, leave your life of sin.

When He meets us at the point of our need, He also gives us the grace and raises us up to His standard. He loves us too much to leave us the way we are.

And the Lord, who is the Spirit, makes us more and more like Jesus as we are, changed into His glorious image.

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord - 2 Corinthians 3:18
