“For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged:”
If you judge with anger, impatience, jealousy, etc.; you shall be judged with anger, impatience, jealousy, etc.
If you judge with mercy, kindness, love, etc.; you shall be judged with mercy, kindness, love, etc.
Our judgments ought to be in Love, Kindness, Mercy, Holiness, Righteousness, Restoration of the lost, etc.
“Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.”
“and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.”
“And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?”
We judge with pre-conceived ideas in our mind. "Beams" that hinder us from making the right judgements and providing the right help. We may do more damage than good with the "beams" stuck there.
Notice that the Lord doesn't say to ignore the mote; but He says to remove the beam from our eyes first. Don't leave the beam in there and do nothing. Remove it; get rid of it. Paul exhorts in Romans: "but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind"
Regarding the eye, read Matthew 6:22, 23. Ask God for a ”single" eyesight.
Finally, only God is big enough to see all things, know all things to pronounce a judgment that is righteous and holy. All the judgments we pass are from our limited vision and knowledge.
“Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.”
When in doubt, do not judge; commit the matter to the righteous judge.
"Lord, help me to always be slow to judge. Let my judgments be in kindness, mercy, love, patience: for I know not the thoughts and intentions of man. Remove the beams that hinder my vision. When you judge me oh Holy Lord, please be kind, merciful and gracious to me. Make me like Christ Jesus, worthy of his name."
