Strength in weakness
The power of God raises up the weak. It takes away the infirmities of a sinner to make him righteous, it molds up the foolish to confound the wise and breaks the barriers of the enemy.
Our Lord Jesus Christ was made to be weak when he came down to save humankind from the clutches of sin. The weakest moment for Him was the time when He felt that the Father had forsaken Him.
In truth, we cannot even imagine a moment such as that. We have abundance of grace abiding in us through the blood of Christ and it sustains us daily. We may, like Christ, seem weak to the world, but our strength comes from the Lord.
The wonderful answer to our weakness is the power of God. The same power of God that raised Christ from the dead, and seated Him on the right hand of God. And our hope is in this power of God that will raise us up one day to live with Him.
All we need to remember is that “Christ’s strength is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
