Abide in God

We must understand that hearing from God is not what we ‘do’ but rather a part of who we are.

We are called to ‘Abide in God’ and that includes becoming aware of His systems of communication, and that revelation is our birthright as children of God.

We are to live our lives in such a way that they are in sync with the thoughts and intents of our Father’s heart.

God wants us to know His will

We have to always remember that God wants us to know His will, than we want to know it!

We sometimes have the wrong notion that God is a being who is very distant from us. On the contrary, He is always near us and is waiting to reveal Himself, and His will to us, the moment we desire for it.

We need to eagerly desire for His will just as much as He does.

“I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel; my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.” - Psalms 16:7-9 (KJV)

“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in Thy presence is fullness of joy; at Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” - Psalms 16:11 (KJV)

There is always joy in the presence of God. The more we abide in God, the more joyful we are. In my experience, I can say that anytime I’ve been through a tough situation in life that causes me to be disappointed or broken, the moment I come to His presence and pour out my heart, there is an unbelievable amount of joy and gladness that fills my heart.

The most amazing part of being a child of God is that we don’t have to be in a specific place or time to come to His presence. We are to lead our lives abiding in Him. Yes, He shows us the path and we follow that, and in this path He leads us in, is where joy and pleasures lie.

Let us learn to submit to His will, that He may lead us through and through. In order to know His will, let us abide in Him, come to Him as children, desiring more from Him and yearning to know His will.
